Enclosed Patio Options

Filed under Garden | No Comments

If you like the idea of spending time with your family relaxing outside, but want to skip on the bugs and the harsh rays of the sun, then it sounds like an enclosed patio is just the thing for you. There are a lot of methods for enclosing a patio, from the elaborate to the simple, and there is one for every price range. Whether you have a lot to spend or are on a limited budget, you can still have all the benefits of enclosed patios, its just a matter of figuring out which kind is right for you.

The first thing to decide on is whether you are going to go for fabric, screens, or wood. An awning-type of enclosure can work for a lot of people, and you can also find pre-fab screen enclosed patio kits that are simple to set up and relatively inexpensive. You can find them online or in most housewares stores, and most of them are so simple to set up, so you can do it yourself even if you’re not the Do-It-Yourself type of person.

If however, you are a real DIYer, then you can create a really beautiful space with a little bit of work. The first thing you’ll want to do is to look at some wooden enclosed patio designs. You can find plenty online, or take a stroll through your neighborhood and see what other people in your area have done. Then you’ll need to draw up some blueprints that specify just what you want to do and what all of the dimensions are.

One of the best enclosed patio ideas is to make your patio open, but with enclosure options. Roll up screens and blinds and a pergola with a roll down roof are just some of the things you can come up with that will allow you to have an enclosed area when you want it, and to take advantage of the open sun and breeze when that’s more up your ally.

If you just like coming up with designs and don’t know how to enclose a patio, you can bring your drawing to a professional and have them do the work. Whatever method you choose, to go with a pre-fab kit, do it all yourself, or have a professional builder make you your own custom patio enclosure, it’s sure to be a place you’ll enjoy spending endless hours relaxing, for years to come.

Tips for Treating Brown Patch Disease

Filed under Appliances, Garden | No Comments

Brown patch is a fungal disease that can affect several types of lawns. Here are some tips for treating brown patch.

The disease starts with small unattractive patches, and can quickly spread to larger areas. As the fungus spreads, it can form a large circle. Sometimes the inside areas of the circle can recover and turn green, while the outside part of the ring stays yellow and looks wilted. This disease spreads easily in humid weather and affects different types of grass, including Kentucky Bluegrass, Bermuda, St. Augustine, Bentgrass, Centipede and some type of ryegrass. It is most common during the spring and the fall, when the climate is humid and night temperatures can be cool.

An easy way to prevent and treat this fungus is to water your garden early in the morning and then leave it, so that the morning dew escapes and moisture is reduced. When mowing a lawn that has been affected by fungus, always get rid of all the clippings so that the disease will not spread. Choose the correct fertilizer to your lawn and to your soil type, and make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions. You may have to use a fungicide to get rid of brown patch. Some of the most commonly used are chlorothalonil and benomyl.

One way of preventing the disease is to plant your garden shrubs and trees far apart from each other, so that there are no areas where too much shade and moisture can create breeding grounds for fungal diseases. Make sure that all parts of the garden get some sunlight and if you find that the lawn is infected, you can try cutting some of the foliage to let more light through.

Always ask for professional advice before buying fungicides and make sure you choose the right products for each lawn type.

LED Grow Lights: The Many Advantages

Filed under Garden | No Comments

Led grow lights are lights used to increase or promote the active growth of plants. They do this by emitting a light wave from the electromagnetic light spectrum that links up with a plants photosynthesis. Basically, these led lights are used to replace the sun that plants would usually get outdoors. LED lights are typically used in situations where indoor growth is needed, in a greenhouse, or for specialty growth where the amount of light needs to be regulated (an example of this would be a rose competition).

There are advantages to using an led light instead of direct sunlight. Sunlight provides a lot of heat, more heat than a led growth light would produce. The led lights will not scorch plants, and they will not evaporate too much moisture. Also, contrary to the sun, the user of an led light has control. They can give a plant as much light as they want and even vary the type of light that each plant gets.

Led lights also have advantages over other types of growing lights. These lights have a very long lifetime. The red bulb lights have a lifetime of 50,000 hours which is equivalent to 18 hours every day for more than seven years. LED’s save about 75 % of the electricity used when compared to hid lights. One of the other major advantages of led lights is they don’t put out near as much heat as compared to conventional lighting. This is why you will want to water a little less frequently since you won’t have the evaporation that your used too. LED’s also output the ideal light wave lengths that will make your growing the most productive you have ever seen. If you want to purchase an led light for your own use, you can easily find a large selection by using an LED grow lights finder on the internet.

Upgrade Your Outdoor Space With Decorative Garden Panels

Filed under Garden | No Comments

Decorating with garden panels is an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your outdoor space. Garden fence panels are found in a variety of materials including bamboo, metal, willow, natural wood, and Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)resin. Flexible bamboo panels can be attached to a chain link fence. Metal panels for the garden are powder-coated to prevent fading and chipping. Sturdy willow panels expand to meet your fencing needs, and natural wood panels for the garden are durable and weather resistant. Garden fencing made from PVC is strong, rust resistant, and will not chip or crack.

Available in hundreds of decorative designs, they can be used as garden edges, as borders for flower beds, and to keep cats and other destructive animals out of your flower or herb gardens. They can also be used as privacy screens, and to enhance a walkway or drive way. Some popular designs for garden fence panels include slat and lattice, four panel styles, and garden fencing panels with a gate. These types of garden panels have been designed to use as privacy, or non-privacy screens. Privacy screens are constructed from strong woods like eucalyptus with smooth dark finishes. Non-privacy screens are built from PVC resin, and are painted in light colors such as taupe and white.

Garden trellis panels are sturdy and attractive, and they are manufactured in a wide range of heights, shapes, and designs. Some models can be mounted to a fence, and some stand alone models include a planter box. Garden lattice panels have sturdy and weather resistant construction, and they are typically used as privacy screens or to provide shade. Garden privacy panels come in decorative styles, are low maintenance, and easy to afford. Adding decorative garden panels is a low-cost solution that will bring privacy and beauty to your garden or yard.

Tips for Finding Replacement Glider Cushions

Filed under Garden, Seating | No Comments

Whether you have an indoor or outdoor glider, chances are that the cushions to the glider will wear out much, much sooner than the actual glider does.  Even if you’re not having the feeling that your glider isn’t nearly as comfortable as it used to be, you might change the décor of your room and need to change your glider cushions to match.  Here are some tips to find a glider replacement cushions.

First thing first, you are going to have to find a cushion that fits your glider.  This should be done before you even search around for your car keys to go to the store or fire up your internet browser to look at some websites.  Take the cushion off of your glider and measure its dimensions.  Most chairs come in a few set sizes so you should be able to find one that fits your chair like a glove as long as you know the size beforehand.

Keep in mind when you’re shopping that your cushions are going to be most likely taking a beating, regardless of if they’re inside or outside, from people sitting, eating, and drinking on them.  Try to find cushions that have fabric protection installed with them.  For outdoor gliders, this means finding cushions that are fade-proof, water-proof, and also able to resist mold and mildew.  Indoor cushions don’t need to be nearly this tough, but should usually include Scotch Guard or some other fabric protection to make sure that spills and other accidents don’t ruin the cushion.

Finally, when you’re looking at cushions, don’t forget to match the pattern you’ll be getting for your glider with those of the furniture and room around it.  While they don’t need to match exactly, you should have a zebra-print cushion in a leopard-spotted room!

These three tips will help you greatly in picking out the right glider cushion for you.

Most stores send out weekly flyers that list sales, or send e-mails to customers that want them to notify them of deals. Watching for these announcements can help one get a general idea of what cushions normally cost and which sales are the best value.

Ways To Use Garden Netting To Protect Your Plants

Filed under Garden | No Comments

Gardening, growing plants, has been proven to have therapeutic or healthful benefits to the gardeners. Relief from stress, body pains, and daily problems are examples of such benefits. Thus, in addition to other various reasons, many people do gardening because of the ones mentioned earlier.

Contrary to what some believe, over-all gardening is not that easy. Gardeners face many problems and challenges in their gardening, and one is on how to protect their respective gardens from “invaders” that can be birds and/or insects. These creatures are not harmful per se, but they can do some damage to a garden. They eat or destroy fruits, berries, crops, and other plants painstakingly grown and cared for.

Even if there are no birds or insects on sight, gardeners should take precautionary measures to shield their respective gardens from these creatures’ possible attacks at any time. And one very good measure is to put up garden bird netting and garden insect netting around all of their plants or only those that are deemed to be the most important among the rest. This way, said plants are shielded from the attacks of birds or insects, which are most likely to go somewhere else to look for food, eventually leaving the precious plants alone, when they see that they could not “invade”.

Garden bird netting not only protects these gardeners from birds, but also from other pests. On the other hand, garden insect netting is specifically made to protect a garden, or an area of it, from common insects like slugs, beetles, and some other bugs that usually eat garden produce.

Some gardeners do not get these nets because of the extra costs. But, upon assessment of what protection the netting process can do to their gardens, they will realize that installation of such nets will definitely be worth it.

Thus, for gardeners who want to protect their gardens from any form of “invasion”, garden bird netting and garden insect netting will be the best things to do. In the long run, they will see and realize that getting these nets is one of the best things they have done to their individual gardens.

After all, gardening is undertaken not only for the visual satisfaction that gardeners, their families, and other people get, but also for the benefits or outcome as well. This means healthy, well-grown, and “untouched” fruits and/or vegetables.

How To Choose The Best LED Grow Lights For You

Filed under Garden, Lighting | No Comments

When it comes to having a successful indoor garden there are many things that it takes for this to happen, but one of the main ones is lighting more specifically grow lights. Using grow lights to facilitate your plants will indeed make your indoor garden grow to its full potential. Okay so now you know that using grow lights will make your garden better now all that you need to do is pick the right one, what is that you are not sure which one is right for your indoor garden? If this is the case then do  not worry because in today’s article we are going to be discussing different types of grow lights and the best places that they should be used. We are going to be talking about three major types of grow lights which are LED plant grow lights, HID grow lights and fluorescent grow lights.

If you are a new to the world of indoor gardening or have only a small area to put your garden in then LED grow lights are going to be your best option as they for the most part are maintenance free as you do not have to worry about changing out the bulbs or having them too close to your plants or having to turn them off because they are drawing too much power. These lights are also ideal for small garden set ups where you only are lighting up a couple of plants or a small area of a bunch of starter plants.

HID lights are for the more experienced indoor gardener or for the one who is planning on having a large setup that covers a large amount of space. These types of grow lights work great if you have a lot of time to adjust and watch over them. HID grow lights are great at producing light that helps both growth stages and flowering stages. There are some downsides to these lights as they can burn the plants if too close, they draw a lot of power and they can be somewhat expensive.

The last type of grow light that we are going to be talking about today is the fluorescent grow light. This type of light is good for medium set ups where the indoor gardener is on a budget. These grow lights put out the necessary lumens or light output needed to grow plants but are not as strong as other types of lights but they do work for the price.

The Many Styles of the Sun Canopy Cover

Filed under Garden | No Comments

With more homeowners choosing to add outdoor patios and decks there is also a growing industry in the sun shade canopy business. In the past, some people would use the umbrella shade that comes with most types of outdoor patio tables. Today, people enjoy spending free time entertaining in the back yard, requiring a larger type of canopy cover.

There are a few choices for this type of awning or canopy. The cover can be attached to the side of the house where the patio or deck is located. It can be an awning only type of item or a complete roof style canopy. Some units are designed to be retractable shades. There will be a lever installed by the side of the house or a remote controller whereby you can easily wind the shade in or out. This is a convenient feature for people that might not want the area in shade all of the time. For fabric covers, it also helps protect the life of the fabric by not having it exposed to the elements all the time. There are permanent canopy covers, which cannot be retracted, but instead are static.

Some styles of canopies can also be assembled as units not attached to the house at all. These can come as items with poles you set up in your yard area and attach the cover to. These free standing structures are a great way to provide temporary shade for a function or event you are having outdoors. These items can also come with side pieces that can be solid or have screens. The designs for awnings and sun canopy models vary greatly, and you will find them in lots of colors and patterns to fit with your home or occasion. They all work to provide some protection from the strong rays of the sun.

Your Options In Aluminum Patio Covers

Filed under Garden | No Comments

Since you are looking for either a new patio cover structure or you’re renovating an old patio space, there are some newer innovations to take into consideration.  But, before we get into these newer patio covers and the materials that make them up, we need to cover some ideas regarding patio cover designs first.  The reason behind this is because of the fact that some styles and patio designs are just not suited for particular types of shade structures.

For example, some exterior home and patio designs are much more suited to have an attached pergola type of feature, rather than a free-standing model.  Similarly, the type of roof that you might be thinking about might not work given your home’s layout or the general direction the sun will be facing in the hot, later summer afternoons.  These are just a couple of the things that make choosing your patio shade structure so important.

Another thing that needs to be considered is the type of material you’ll be using.  This is where the discussion on innovation comes into play.  You see, there was a time when patio covers, like the classic pergola, was made entirely of wood.  Woods like cedar and redwood still make great choices for outdoor patios and other furniture items because they weather the elements so gracefully.  However, you still need to take care to protect, preserve and maintain them in order to get long-lasting use out of them.

With metal, you have other choices.  One option is to go with aluminum patio covers for their ease of workability and lightweight material.  They do no rust and can be painted in a variety of colors to match your home or landscape décor.  However, some people are just not satisfied with this as an option.  So, along comes Alumawood™.  This company makes a variety of styles of outdoor shade structures; attached, free standing, solid roof, lattice roof, etc.  Basically, with Alumawood™ patio covers, you get all the benefits of the type of patio structure you want, with little maintenance to speak of.  Moreover, there is an embossed cedar wood grain design on the pieces and they come in a variety of color choices that mimic wood stain options.  If you’re considering a new or renovated patio, look into these aluminum patio covers.

A Chaise Cushion for Outdoor Furniture Décor

Filed under Garden, Seating | No Comments

Many people who have their own home also like to decorate their backyard area to be a relaxing place to spend time in. This is done by having a deck or patio area where you can place different types of furniture to accommodate spending time outdoors. One of the most common pieces of furniture used in outdoor areas is the lounge. This item can be one of the inexpensive collapsible styles or the higher quality wooden styles. The designer wooden pieces generally use a chaise cushion on the item to help make it more comfortable for relaxing in.

You can also use these cushions for some of the new modern styles created from metal or molded plastic. The various cushions used for outdoor furniture are available in lots of different colors and designs. This allows you to decorate the area in the type of color scheme you want to have. If you would like a tropical island feel for your deck, you might choose some cushions with large colorful flower patterns on them. If you purchase an outdoor furniture group as a set, you will generally receive the cushions along with the frames and can even have a matching umbrella for the group.

You might choose to purchase some furniture pieces as unfinished wood items that you can paint yourself. This gives you total control over how your outdoor décor will be styled. You may decide to create a complete landscaped area by adding some fence and several potting urns. You will find many products available at major department stores or home improvement retailers that can help give you ideas on what to use in your yard. A well landscaped and designed yard area will be an enjoyable place for family and friends to gather and spend some outdoor leisure quality time together.

Why You Need a Tiered Mini Greenhouse

Filed under Garden | No Comments

If you’re looking for a way to make your plants thrive, then you know that there is no better solution than a greenhouse. The reason that a greenhouse is so effective at helping your plants thrive is that it provide the two most important elements for growth – light and temperature. While you may be thinking that these two components are also provided outside, it’s important to understand that greenhouses help to provide a warmer average temperature, which gives plants a considerable boost. Greenhouses also provide shelter from natural fluctuations in temperature and can shield plants from the harsh conditions of winter, provided the structure is outfitted with some form of active heating.

When it comes to selecting greenhouses for the home, the mini greenhouse reigns supreme due to its small size and relatively affordable price. Even within mini greenhouses, however, there are many different types to choose from including lean-to greenhouses, freestanding greenhouses and even small tiered mini greenhouses. The type you select will depend mostly on the amount of space you have and also on the types of plants you intend to grow. For those will space limitations, the tiered mini greenhouse is probably the best option. In case you’re not familiar with this type of structure, it’s essentially the size of a tall bookcase and typically covered in glass. The “tiers” refer to individual shelves, of which there are normally 3 or 4; hence the name 3 tier or 4 tier mini greenhouse. These structures are popular amongst people that don’t want to make a large space or financial commitment, but that want the benefits that a greenhouse can provide. These structures are quite effective when used during the warm season, since they typically contain no form of heating.

Prices for tiered greenhouses varies, though you can typically find them priced between $75 and $100 through specialty online retailers and some local garden centers. They are easy to set up and can also be stored when not in use. Ultimately, a tiered mini greenhouse may be just what you need if you’re looking to give your plants an advantage over the ambient growing conditions.

An Enclosed Patio in Aluminum Finish

Filed under Garden | No Comments

To be able to decide if you should choose an enclosed patio in aluminum finish you will need to know the benefits and options available. So start here to find some information about this excellent choice to improve your outdoor living area.

The benefits and design features of an enclosed patio in aluminum finish:

An enclosed patio in aluminum finish is best for those spaces that are large enough to enclose using an insulated roof and walls with glass windows to allow year round functionality. The great part of these enclosed patios are that even a standard insulated roof panel comes with 3 inch foam to keep the warm in during winter and eliminate overheating in summer. It also includes what is called “aluminum skins” on top and on the underside of the roof, so it’s well protected. In an enclosed patio in aluminum finish the walls are not solid although some areas for privacy will be designed with anywhere from 2 inches to 4 inches of thickness and textured skins inside and out with the framework being made from what is called “extruded” aluminum, and the glass is tempered and may be glazed. The walls have versatile swinging doors, sliding doors or even French doors. So that is one option for a complete enclosed patio in aluminum finish that will be warm and cozy all year.

Semi Enclosed Patio in Aluminum Finish

There are other uses for aluminum patio covers. For example there are mobile home patio covers that have a smooth finish with front and side gutters and a downspout to drain rainwater. The cover has solid roof panels made in aluminum that is maintenance free and will include decorative hangers and scroll columns, and these types of semi enclosed patio in aluminum finish designs are available in stylish modern colors like white or neutral beige. For a residential version of this you can select a wood-grained or textured front and side gutters and even V-shaped roof panels all in aluminum that never requires painting or upkeep, and can be ordered in lots of fabulous colors like sand, beige, tan, adobe or creamy latte. There are three different ranges for enclosed patio in aluminum finish enclosures and roofs, one is standard, another economical and a third is premium. The main differences are the thickness of beams and the textures and finishes you can choose from that even mimic wood.

Garden Planters For Any Plant

Filed under Garden | No Comments

Regardless of the size or décor of your house, apartment, or condo, flowers and plants are always a good match.  And the best way to display flowers and plants, both inside and outside, is by using garden planters.  Garden planter boxes enable you to put plants anywhere, on any surface, or even hang them from the ceiling.  The wide range of indoor and outdoor garden planters ensures that there is one that will fit your needs.

There are a few things that you need to consider when choosing a garden planter.  The first is the size of the plant; it just makes sense that larger plants need larger planters.  But the real factor with size is the size of the root system of the plant.  Some plants that may appear to only need small planters due to their size actually have larger root systems that need more room to grow in a healthy manner.  Others will only thrive in large garden planters.

The other consideration is where you will be placing the planter.  Will it be inside or outside?  Will it sit on the ground, on a table or bench, or will it hang?  There are gardening planters that are made for all of these applications, but you need to make sure you choose one that is compatible with what you want to do with it.  For example, some planters are made out of materials and finishes that will wear down quickly when exposed to the elements outside.

Some flower planters are designed with two more or more flower pockets, which allows you to plant more than one type of flower in them.  These planters are also good for indoor herb gardens, where you can put one herb in each pocket.

Flower planters could also be used in photos; planters used on top of roofs should be lightweight to avoid damages. Light weighed planters such as plastic planters are suitable for roof tops, while planters made of ceramics or steel should be used for outdoor or indoors.  One of the nice things about planters is that they come as plain or as decorative as you could want them to be.  A colorful planter in an otherwise drab corner of your garden is one of the best garden decor ideas out there, but it is a touch that is often overlooked.  Take a look around your garden and see where planters could have not just a practical use, but a decorative one as well.

Garden Pots for Indoor Herb Gardens

Filed under Garden | No Comments

There is a movement that has been around for several years, but which is gaining a lot of steam and becoming more popular lately-keeping a garden so that you are able to grow your own food (mainly herbs and vegetables).  However, many people don’t have the luxury of a large yard or garden, and many live in cities, apartments, where there is no yard at all.  Many of these people are still getting in on the fun by creating indoor herb gardens.  This is made possible through use of the right garden pots.

Garden plant pots come in many sizes, depending on the size of the plant; you need to make sure that the pot you choose is big enough for the root system of the plant to fully grow. The ideal gardening pots should be enough large to hold a lot of soil. If a pot is too small, the roots will not be able to get enough nutrients to feed the plant, and it will not grow well or even die.

The second consideration is drainage for the pots. They need to have good drainage capacities by some openings and holes on their bottom and on the sides.

Plants that stay in pots with no drainage will maintain the moisture for more time, but it is harder to keep the soil from becoming so packed that it doesn’t breathe.

The ideal garden flower pots should be definitely attractive. Of course, they are not art objects, but they still need to look nice. There are a lot of designer pots on the market that use special materials such as brass, ceramics, or polished metals that look great and match any décor.  You can also find molded gardening pots that are made to look like characters, objects, or other clever designs.

Mosquito Traps: Hype or Help?

Filed under Appliances, Garden | No Comments

Whether or not you live in an area that gets heavy mosquito population problems during the season, you can still appreciate the benefit that proper management of these pests could afford.  It is now possible to get safe and effective protection by using mosquito traps.  These are simple devices that work by attracting these biting insects, more selectively than those bug zappers and other devices.  The best defense against these annoying buggers is to outright prevent them from breeding.  Short of this, however, you will need to find a way to live with them.

The problem with mosquitoes is that they have developed a great ability to detect mammals, especially humans, over the millions of years that they have been around.  It is a combination of carbon dioxide, humidity and other organic compounds that we emit that attracts them.  They know that when that combination of gases is around, dinner is close by as well.

The problem with controlling them is that you might do a great job on your property to control for risks such as standing water and garbage, but your neighbors might not be so conscientious.  Therefore, the problem becomes yours because of the company you keep so to speak.  These special mosquito trap devices we are talking about are a great way to keep your property even more protected once they are hatched and also eliminates the problem of toxicity.  There are mosquito misting systems, usually reserved for larger commercial applications, that spray a fine mist into the air – much like a mist system for your patio that uses water droplets to cool your space.  This mosquito mist is laced with carcinogenic compounds that you certainly don’t want to be inhaling.

The mosquitoes trap device is much more safe than that.  What it does is this.  It is a device that emits carbon dioxide and water vapor and with some models a mosquito pheromone.  These all act as attractants to the mosquitoes.  The propane tank that is used to fuel the motor for this device is fairly lightweight and the whole unit can be moved to wherever you like – a patio, deck, or other backyard area.  You could even bring it camping if you wanted to.  In any case, as it runs these gases and scents attract the mosquitoes.  As they fly closer and closer, they are eventually right at the mouth of the trap and get sucked inside by the vacuum mechanism.  This is where they will be trapped and die.  It is a nifty device and much more selective for mosquitoes than the bug zapper and other devices which kill most any flying insect, including helpful ones for pollination and other insect control.  For more information about these mosquito traps or other patio related accessories, you can visit Patio Covers Place.

Garden Vacuum Purchases: Your Options In A Leaf Blower Vacuum

Filed under Appliances, Garden | No Comments

Tired of all those leaves cluttering up your yard?  Consider a garden vacuum for easy yard clean up.

A leaf blower vacuum comes in handy for those people who do not have the strength to go out into their front yards and stand for hours on end to rake up leaves and place them in to bags to be placed out to the curb for the weekly pickup during the fall season to discard of all the leaves. The leaf vacuum offers you a safer alternative to discard of all the leaves that will clutter the yard and make it look messy. Perhaps the local neighborhood boy does not know that the you cannot do it and has not stopped by to ask for a job to make some extra money. However you likely do have enough energy and strength to push a garden leaf vacuum to get rid of the leaves that are being blown all around the yard.

There are quite a few different types of leaf vacuums.  A gas-powered garden vacuum blower is the most powerful kind as fat as blowing strength and speed are concerned.  The downside is that is is also the noisiest kind of outdoor vacuum, and will also emit unhealthy gas fumes.  While it is the most efficient of your options, there are definitely health concerns involved.

An electric vacuum blower doesn’t have these disadvantages.  It is rather lightweight and quieter than its gas powered counterpart, but it has one major drawback– the cord.  Trying to suck up leaves from all the obscure corners of your yard can be tough if the cord isn’t quite long enough.  And if you start to walk in circles a bit, its easy to get tangled up in the cord.

The cordless garden blower vacuum is definitely the most convenient of your options.  No smelly gas fumes, and no long cord to trip you up or limit your movements.  However, you will be restrained by the life of the battery, and remember that you will also be carrying around the extra weight that the battery adds on, so keep those considerations in mind when deciding on the type of blower you’ll be purchasing.

You can purchase a leaf blower vacuum in a number of stores or online sites and they will range in price. The size of your lawn will determine how much you are going to pay to purchase a lawn leaf vacuum. The larger the size of the vacuum, the more the item is going to cost. However some sites will sell these items at a discount price to people who do not want to spend an arm and a leg on a piece of lawn equipment where a ten dollar rake would have worked just as well. However the amount of time you are going to spend in your yard will decrease drastically if you do buy a garden vacuum, and you will be glad you spent the money.
