Walk In Closet Organization Ideas to Land You the Job
Managing your career can start with walk-in closets. A mismanaged life can sometimes be evident on how you are dressed. Mismatched shoes, socks, and over all get-up says much about how difficult a time a person is having organizing his or her life. There are certainly repercussions. If you walk in an interview wearing the most uncoordinated colors or the wrong top with the right bottoms, you can lose the job even before your interview began no matter how smart your answers are.
An employer would most likely be seeking an employee with a good sense of organization and who can work under pressure. Wearing mismatched clothes sends a message that you: 1) woke up late, grabbed the first thing you can find, rushed into the interview and you probably don’t have a good sense of time, 2) since you woke up late, you were under so much pressure to get ready and you since you couldn’t handle pressure well, you ended up wearing the wrong clothes, and 3) you don’t really have a good sense of organization or you would have worn the right clothes no matter how pressured you were.
Organizing your life has to start somewhere and you can start with the seemingly small things: managing your wardrobe. Work around the thought that if you can’t manage seemingly small things then how can you manage a big thing like a career? Take a look at your closet, if you have cramped space and disorganized piles of clothes, shoes, accessories and bags then start with increasing space and useful closet organization ideas. If you have piles of assorted items that you can’t let go of then walk-in closets are probably the best solution. With a wide space where you can place things within reach and within plain view, you can easily mix and match your get-up just by just looking.
However, before you have your closet constructed make sure you choose the right materials. Sort through your wardrobe items to get an idea of how many shelves, rods, drawers, etc. you need or if you even need one. Consider the space in your bedroom. While it is nice to have a closet that is wide enough to run around in, your bedroom might only support the smaller types where you can still walk through but not as wide as what Sarah Jessica Parker has. Also, consider your budget. Do you have enough for high class materials or do you need budget-friendly but quality ones?
A walk in closet is a great solution for organizing various items that are either really essential or just things you can’t let go of. Having organized wardrobe helps you focus on more important things such as landing the job you’ve always wanted and laying the foundations of a good career. Keeping your things organized is definitely not the only thing that you need to accomplish in order to land yourself a good job but it can certainly be the first step and everything else follows. As they say, dress like you are a success and success will come your way.
