A Storage Bed Helps Keep a Room Tidy
For many people, a storage bed is the perfect solution to help keep a room tidy and clothing, blankets or other items organized. These products come in all sizes, from twin to king, and in various styles to coordinate with any bedroom decor. The benefits of a storage bed are almost too many to understand without experiencing them firsthand.
Most products of this type use a platform for the mattress and contain drawers underneath. They may also come with plain or book case headboards, for additional storage of books, radios, alarm clocks and other smaller items. Those known as Captain’s beds contain drawers under the platform and usually have a book case head board. Though they can be heavy, they are easy to put together.
One benefit of a bed with storage is that there is no need for a box spring. Box spring units are inflexible and can be difficult to move around the house or through doorways. Trundle beds or truckle beds are a different kind of platform product. While they may contain some drawers for storage as well, their main feature is a bed that stores under the platform or frame of the main piece. Kids love this feature for sleepovers and having friends stay. This is also a great idea for a guest bedroom. Those with small children can keep an eye on them in unfamiliar surroundings and provide extra reassurance.
